Capturing those fleeting, precious newborn days when everything feels soft, hazy, and full of new beginnings.

Focusing on the little moments that showcase how tiny and new your baby is—whether it’s the gentle cuddles in your arms, the soft peel of their skin, or their sweet stretches and yawns.

I like to allow plenty of time for newborn sessions, giving space for feeding, changing, and settling. It’s important to me that you never feel rushed, pressured, or anxious about getting your little one to sleep—whatever happens, we always capture beautiful moments. (And don't worry, with a few tricks, I’ll always get them to sleep in the end!)

I use minimal props to ensure your images remain timeless and not dated over the years. The sets are simple, featuring mostly neutral tones like creams and whites, with the occasional muted earthy colours, or as you request.

Studio, newborn session

Ideal for babies between 5-14 days old, ensuring we capture those peaceful womb-like poses while they’re still super tiny & sleepy.

You’ll receive a mix of natural lifestyle family portraits and beautifully semi-posed artistic shots of your family and baby.

At home, newborn session

A perfect way to highlight your home and the special, unique details that reflect your family. These relaxed, candid family sessions capture plenty of cuddles, precious baby moments, and minimal posing. They’re ideal to schedule between 7-14 days after birth to capture those early, sleepy newborn moments.

Family session outdoors

Perfect for candid family photos outdoors, especially if your baby is a bit older than a newborn or you have a tribe of little people who love to run wild and free. This session is a wonderful way to capture relaxed, natural moments as a family in the beauty of nature. The focus is on your family connection—gentle cuddles, loving embraces, and those special in-between moments, fun and laughter.

Maternity session

Having a maternity session is a perfect way to capture your excitement and your growing bump before bubs arrives. We plan these around the hour before sunset in an outdoor environment with your partner and other children or even your fur-babies.

Fresh 48, hospital visit

Designed to capture those fresh hospital moments within the first 48 hours of birth. This can be planned around baby’s first introduction to family members or siblings or during their first bath at the hospital. This is also suited for those who prefer not to have their birth photographed or if the hospital has restrictions in the birthing room.

Documenting your birth story

It is my aim to tastefully & discretely document those real, raw and empowering moments as you welcome your baby earthside. I will be with you from active labour until about an hour after the birth to capture all those first cuddles, feeds and introductions.

FAQ’S

How old should my baby be for newborn photos?

It is ideally done when bub is between 5-14 days while they are still teeny tiny and sleep more frequently and less likely to wake when being moved and posed. It is best to book well in advance to avoid missing out on a spot as i only take on limited newborn sessions per year.

How do we set the shoot date?

That’s common, and completely understandable. To book the shoot date I find my next availability within 2 weeks of your expected due date and i ask that you keep in touch with me closer to that date incase your doctor induces you earlier or you go over. Giving me a heads up means I can shuffle my other bookings around to ensure I fit you in within the ideal timeframe.

What time does the session begin?

It’s around bubs mid morning feed time. I’ll ask you to arrive to The Studio and do the feed there once bubs is down to a clean nappy and wrapped up in one of your warm and cosy blankets from home.

How long will the session take?

I allow most of the day for your shoot so i can be flexible around your new routines. Most sessions at the studio take around 2-3 hours which include any feeding or settling times.

What should we wear?

I have put together a Pinterest board so you can get some inspo for clothing ideas. Try to avoid any branding or logos visible as these can distract from the emotion in your faces and will date your photos quickly. Be mindful of bold clashing patterns or colours between each other. Dress up and feel good! Think muted earthy tones, light whites and creams, tan chinos, Linen shirts, Lace top etc for best results. I also usually ask that you remove any large watches or heavy jewellery on wrists unless its really significant as these element can distract from bubs tiny face.

Can Siblings be involved?

Yes! Of course they can! There is no extra charges for siblings or parents photos.

Where will the session take place?

At The Studio. A commercial studio space filled with natural light in the CBD of Sale. The Studio address is 2 Sillett Lane, Sale, 3850.

What do we need to bring to the session?

Just yourselves, lots of wipes, a warm blanket for bub during feeding and settling, a few spare nappies and your general nappy bag supplies. There may be additional feeds out of normal routine so prepare for this if you need. I have bathroom and kitchenette facilities available and a comfy sofa to relax for feeding.

Will we get all digital to print ourselves?

You will receive a curated collection of the best images from the session and i’ll leave out any duplicates, miss focused or blinks. You don’t need those ones! You can print from these files received however they are only best printed up to A4 size, any larger and i recommend contacting me or purchasing framed wall art through the online gallery to ensure the images go through additional retouch to ensure colours, lighting and skin tones are all perfect and resized for the best possible quality fine art prints to stand the test of time.
