Creating real, raw and natural photos of your new baby.

My aim is to create a calm and relaxing space for your first family photos. Sets are really simple using mostly neutral colour tones of creams and whites with the occasional muted earthy tones or as you request with minimal props to prevent your images dating over the years.

I like to allow plenty of time for newborn sessions – time for feeding, changing and settling so i generally book out most of the day to allow plenty of flexibility in your session start and end time. It’s important not to feel rushed, pressured or anxious to get bubs to sleep, whatever happens we always get beautiful photos even if bubs decides to stay awake throughout. (But don’t worry though with some secret tricks I always get them to sleep in the end!)

NEWBORN SESSION - AT THE STUDIO

Suitable for baby’s who are between 5-14 days fresh. This is to ensure we can get those super sleepy milk drunk natural womb like poses.

The studio is a contemporary space located in the commercial precinct of Sale. Carefully decorated and curated with organic textures and colours while emphasising on simplicity and natural lighting aesthetics. Designed around the large front windows to allow the outdoor light to pour in. This is the perfect space to capture your little family if your home doesnt have the styling or lighting required for fresh timeless photos. The Studio is fitted with all the comforts of home with warmth, comfortable feeding seating, kitchen & toilet facilities and a variety of blankets, wraps outfits on hand throughout your session.

Collection includes:

• Pre shoot planning and

• Custom prop or outfit styling purchases if necessary

• 2-3 hours in the studio for the session, including settling & changing times.

• Variety of set ups with your baby in sleepy womb-like natural poses

• Parents & sibling portraits 

• Digital JPG images or printed products depending on chosen collection.

NEWBORN SESSION - AT YOUR HOME

Suitable for more candid family photos at your home or if your baby is older then the 3 week old limit for studio newborn sessions.

Perfect for those wanting to stay in the comforts of their own home in those hazy early days. I’ll work your session around areas in your home with the best natural lighting and nice styling or minimal distractions. Often I select spaces such as a bedroom, the nursery or lounge room. We can also have the option to venture outside to capture some family time in your front or backyard if weather permits. For in home sessions to be a success it’s important to keep your home extra warm throughout the morning and have baby fed before I arrive, so we are ready to begin straight away. It’s also important to consider the lighting and styling of your home to set the overall tone for your final images.

Collection includes:

• 1-2 hours at your home. Travel included within 1 hour drive of Sale, 3850

• Natural unposed images of your family around your home - Couch cuddles, on your bed, areas of your home with nice lighting or outside to include your pets.

CLIENT WARDROBE -

Available for included complimentary use during any session. Sizes range from XS to L and free sizing (one size fits most). If you are interested in using any pieces during your session, please let me know so I can ensure it is ready and available on your shoot date.

FAQ’S

How much are newborn and maternity sessions?

I have a variety of collections that range begin from $550 which all include the pre shoot planning, client wardrobe access, shoot time and a collection of digital jpg images for download. Please contact me for a price guide HERE

How old should my baby be for newborn photos?

It is ideally done when your baby is between 5-14 days while they are still teeny tiny and sleep more frequently and less likely to wake when being moved and posed. It is best to book well in advance to avoid missing out on a spot as i only take on limited newborn sessions per year.

How do we set the shoot date?

That’s common, and completely understandable. To book the shoot date I find my next availability within 2 weeks of your expected due date and i ask that you keep in touch with me closer to that date incase your doctor induces you earlier or you go over. Giving me a heads up means I can shuffle my other bookings around to ensure I fit you in within the ideal timeframe.

Can Siblings be involved?

Yes! Of course they can! There is no extra charges for siblings or parents photos.

Where will the session take place?

At The Studio. A commercial studio space filled with natural light in the CBD of Sale. The Studio address is 2 Sillett Lane, Sale, 3850.

Will we get all digital to print ourselves?

You will receive a curated collection of the best images from the session and i’ll leave out any duplicates, miss focused or blinks. You don’t need those ones! You can print from these files received however they are only best printed up to A4 size, any larger and i recommend contacting me or purchasing framed wall art through the online gallery to ensure the images go through additional retouch to ensure colours, lighting and skin tones are all perfect and resized for the best possible quality fine art prints to stand the test of time.
